Day 1, a shorty to Penzance

After a long car journey to Cornwall, with a huge and delicious breakfast in Devon, I felt stiff and unenthusiastic about getting out of the car and actually cycling.

Day 0

My pre-stage today was a ride to the train station, to catch a Chiltern line train to my son’s house. He’s going to drive me all the way to the start, God bless him.

(Slight) Change of Plan

In under 2 weeks I will be setting off and I have had to take a hard decision.

I had intended to carry all my luggage including tools, spares for the bike… Everything. But I have just had to rethink it.
