When Paul arrived at the B&B we managed to extract our bikes from their hall (where we had talked them into letting us store them last night), even then the challenge of starting the ride wasn’t over as we had to negotiate a huge hole made by road-works. Our hosts at the B&B were worried that we might fall into it!
Off down the hill, and into a fine day with pretty little lanes to ride along. I’m now crossing my fourth county, and the ever-changing countryside of Britain is making this a wonderful experience. It has been a special pleasure seeing the flags and bunting over the past few days, in the celebrations of the Queen’s Jubilee.
In the village of Tetbury we had a extra surprise… We had a lovely time at the village Jubilee party – and I got to meet Prince Harry (although, on careful consideration, he might not have been the real Prince Harry!)

Our arrival into Gloucestershire was met with another endless hill up into Sapperton.
It’s a shorter day today, and I’m looking forward to seeing my daughter and my grandchildren – so that’s why this blog entry is shorter today.
