Day 5, to Redditch Needle Museum

I had been thinking that it would be nice to ride with a group sometimes, so when I met the Easy Riders I asked if I could join them. They were very welcoming and friendly so, although they are based over in Solihull with meetings  in Brueton Park, I think it will work out (even if we only get to see each other at lunch).

This Wednesday they planned to go to the Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch with a stop for coffee near Earlswood Lakes – and that’s ideal for me. We did not stop to look round the museum, but I think the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey might also be interesting so I plan to do that another day,

Anyway, we spent an unexpectedly long time in Arrow Valley Park  because there were never very many direction signs there, and now they have almost totally disappeared. Ice cream was obviously needed so I left them in the Lake Cafe and returned  home via Icknield Street. Hopefully I’ll see the Easy Riders again when they visit Charlecote.

That’s me with the bright orange bike. It’s my lightest steel bike, but it’s still more than 30 years old!
